You are going to attend an event Google I/O’19 — Extended @ GCT (Government College of Technology) Coimbatore from 10.00 A.M to 2.00 P.M event remainder popped out from my phone on Jun08, 2019. Excited to see new friends going to learn something new today. Got ready started to move.
Reached GCT @ 9.50 A.M entered into the campus searched for the event hall couldn’t find it out. Asked the security guards about the event and their expression was
and i was like
and there comes the savior (yes i know the event hall) joined with him and finally reached the event hall
The event kick-started with the welcome note from Gokul
Keynote
After the welcome note, it was the Google I/O’19 Highlights which contains the latest announcements from Google like Android, Assistant, Augmented Reality, Pixel Phones and many more.
Session 1: Kotlin by Santhosh & Yaseen
Yes, the very first session was Kotlin and do you know both of them have given a great speech starting from Java to Kotlin via Perl, Spring, Clojure.
It reminds me of the days i worked with Java for Android Development and i came to know about some new cool features about Kotlin as well.
I don’t know when i went to sleep mode waked up after the claps :)
Session 2: The Angular Ecosystem — Shyam Prasath
The most awaited session for me (My Ex-programming language). Shyam prasath started to explain the Angular history and its evolutionary journey.
He explained each and everything in detail (Of course some has gone to sleep mode not me:)
He showed us in’s and out’s of Angular as well as how some of the features of React like Component, Redux which has been used in the latest version of Angular
Meantime i could see some people waked up seeing outside. Anyways the session gets continued for about 15 mins with Q&A from Shyam.
I have asked my first question with some courage(Felt my heart beats faster) and he has clarified my doubts with a smile
Wait i could smell some pizza’s outside. Yes, you are right its Lunchtime…..
Lunch Time
As usual, the organizers have arranged it perfectly. Got my pizza and continued my talk with Shyam and got some more info about Angular
People standing in line for lunch
Session 3: Supercharge Products Using Augmented Reality — Siddarth
You might think now that everyone would have gone to sleep mode but No…
Siddarth knows how to handle the session after lunch. He made it very interactive and many of them has voluntarily participated with their own ideas about Augmented Reality (#Me Too)
And the story is going to reach the end. All the participants got their goodies. meantime Ramki (One of the organizers) has shared some info about GDG Coimbatore.
What’s Next?
Everyone smiled together for the photo session and left….
What i have achieved from this event?
An unknown becomes a known (Gives me a free ride)
Asked my first question in the event (Shyness are going away)
Stood in front of everyone for sharing my ideas of Augmented Reality (Didn’t speak anything Anand Parthiban does it for me )
Thanks Giving Time
We would like to thank the organizers of GDG Coimbatore for their hard work as well as Google for conducting extended events in Tier2 and Tier3 cities. And a special thanks for the swiggy delivery guys for bringing the lunch on time
